... Wet and cooler weather expected through Monday...

A strong Canadian cold front ushered in much cooler temperatures
and some rainfall today. High temperatures today were 15 to 25
degrees colder than what occurred on the fourth. This cool weather
with a good chance of rain with a few thunderstorms will continue
tonight and Monday... with the emphasis more over the west and
south Monday. Enough cold air is expected to filter into the
region for some High Mountain snowfall along and east of The
Divide later tonight into the day Monday. The Bighorn Mountains
and northern Absaroka Mountains could see snow levels dip to
between 10000 and 11000 feet by sunrise Monday... while the Wind
River mountains could see snow levels dip down to between 11000
and 12000 feet. Snowfall accumulations are expected to be
light... with 1 to 3 inches of snow possible in a few locations
above 11000 feet.

... Wet and cooler weather expected through Monday...

A combination of a Canadian cold front moving south into central
Wyoming... and an upper level low pressure system moving northeast
from the Great Basin... will combine to produce rather widespread
rain showers and embedded thunderstorms this afternoon through
the evening. Some snow will mix with rain in the mountains above
9500 feet with accumulations of 3 to 6 inches possible above
10000 feet. The rainfall will begin to decrease by late Monday
morning... especially in the north. South and central areas should
see rain through the day Monday.

The heaviest rainfall at this time looks to be over the Bighorn...
Wind River... absaroka... Wyoming and Salt River Mountains... while
most of the mountain areas can expect rainfall of one-half inch to
one inch. Locally higher amounts are possible. Most of the lower
elevations will receive less rainfall. Areas along the foothills...
such as Buffalo... Casper... Lander... Thermopolis... Cody and DuBois
have the best chances of receiving rainfall of one-half inch or
more.

The cold front will also cool high temperatures 10 to 20 degrees
from those of Saturday. Highs today will generally be in the 60s
in the north with a few basin locations reaching the lower 80s
in the South. Mountain temperatures will reach the 50s.
